The Urban Agroecology Certificate
offers students an introduction to the
on various scales from small (home
garden) to large (school and
community garden or farm). This
certificate will help prepare students
for employment in areas of urban
agriculture, green jobs in schools and
commuity gardens, large-scale urban
farming, or food and agriculture
studies. Students enrolled in the
program will be on the cutting edge of
the food movement and engaged in
activities around alternative food
production, food acess for low-income
communities, health issues and
practical agriculture skills.

A
Certificate of Proficiency will be
awarded upon satisfactory completion
of the course requirements.
Two generations of Self-Reliant House
volunteers help out in the garden.
