Education program focuses on outdoor
environmental education, nature and
cultural interpretation, and park
management in field settings. The
program provides preparation for a
wide range of opportunities in parks,
nature centers, schools, camps, and
ecotourism businesses. Real-world
experiences and internships in
environmental education, focusing on
native ecosystem natural history and
wildlife observation for diverse
audiences of all ages, are emphasized.
The AS degree in Ranger/Naturalist
Outdoor Education will be awarded
upon satisfactory completion of the
Major course requirements and the
General Education requirements. A
Certificate will be awarded upon
satisfactory completion of the major
course requirements.
