Come Volunteer!

The Self-Reliant House and Friends of the Environmental Center are always looking
for volunteers.  Opportunities include projects in Green Building, Energy Design,
Gardening and Landscape Design, Office Administration and more.  Do you have a
talent you would like to share?  Let us know, and we will be happy to chat about how to
put it to good use.

Can I get college credit for volunteering?

Yes, our new ENVMT 501- Sustainable Environmental Systems Projects class is a
no cost, 0 unit class which allows you to put your volunteer work on your college
transcript.  Our variable unit
EMART 10-Special Projects in Ecological Design
class allows you to choose a project and recieve from 0.5 to 3 units of college credit.
The cost for this class ranges from $10-$60, depending on the number of units
received.

Do you have work days at the Self- Reliant House?

Yes!  We organize work days periodically when we have a large project, or many small
projects which require a group effort.  Check out our

any work days are currently scheduled.  If you have a project in mind and would like to
organize a work day, or if you have any questions regarding upcoming work days,
