The Ecological Restoration and Watershed
Management program is designed to
prepare students for employment in the
fields of environmental assessment,
monitoring, management, and restoration.
Students can find employment in private
enterprises (a wide variety of industries and
consulting firms), environmental
organizations, and public agencies (parks,
forests, wildlands, urban and regional
planning agencies, etc.) to assess and
monitor environmental quality, help prepare
environmental impact reports, assist
planners and managers, and perform
environmental restoration work in
urban/suburban, rural, and wildland settings.

The AS degree in Ecological Restoration and
Watershed Management will be awarded
upon satisfactory completion of the Major
course requirements and the General
Education requirements. A Certificate will be
awarded upon satisfactory completion of the
major course requirements. A Certificate of
Achievement is also available for this
program.
ERWM students explore one of the East Bay's
many beautiful watersheds.
